DHET supported the National Air & Space Cadets industry day, Syerston 20th August 2025

Trustees Stuart Beaty and Malcolm Ward represented de Havilland Educational Trust (DHET) at the National Air & Space Cadets industry day at Syerston on August 20th 2025 with over 1500 cadets from across the country attending.

Stuart Beaty 'DHET would like to thank the organisers for an excellent day. We were delighted to attend and have the opportunity to meet the next generation of engineers and pilots.  Our interactive stand with a cut-away Gipsy engine where cadets could try their hand at testing spark plugs and wire locking proved very popular!'

Malcolm Ward 'Cadets could get up close and personal with the cut-away engine, see the inner workings as it rotated and handle components of aeroplanes that some day they may find themselves working on and potentially flying.'
