An excellent day out

de Havilland Educational Trust trustees Joseph Brown (G-BWUN/WD310) & Ben Griffiths FRAeS (G-BXGO/WB654) flew Aerobility charity auction prize winners last Saturday together with Carol de Solla (G-BBND/WD286) in a formation of three Chipmunks. The prize winners were taken to Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport in support of the Runway25 fly-in organised as a result of the cancellation of this year's RIAT. After lunch the next stop was to a private strip where they were surprised with the chance to ride in a combine harvester and then 'formate' in the tractor alongside. It was lovely to see them all let their inner 5 year olds come bubbling to the surface. The final leg back home gave the chance for some hands on time with these delightful aircraft. A privilege to fly lovely people and an honour to support such a good cause.
